Got to say thanks to Derrik @ D&P Converters, they took my info, listened to me, & gave me 3 options.
Re stall my existing 10",
Build a new/better 10"
or go all out & build a high stall 8" Bad boy.
I finally decided to go all in & have them build me a new 8" billet converter. Its the best one they make & if the stall isn't just right they said they would re stall it for a good for $XXX (good price)
thanks to everyone for the good hookup, I mentioned your names & cars & D&P (Derrik) recognized everyone!!!
Look out in 09! Gonna be Hammering the competition!!

SMI was my 1st call to build my new TH400 w/ 2800 converter back in the spring,
I ran it until my new motor was done & now I need a new converter.
I called DNP. they took my 10" converter apart & found the mounting part of the converter wasnt centered & may cause higher speed vibration.

Mikey, I have lived here 28 years and never heard of him. Shit, I would have had him build my current converter. I need to take some stall out at this point.
Could you PM me with a #?
Thanks Adam

Spec Rite Converters builds a SOLID converter and they stand behind their products! Their website is www.SpecRiteConverters.com.
Their converter currently holds the 1/4 mile mph record for a pro mod car 240 and some change. First and ONLY converter driven Pro Mod car to go over 240 and that is Randy Kay's red 63 vette, oh, he's also gone 6.20 with it.
Their ph # is (530) 243-8300. Call and ask for Rod Burbage, if he isn't there then ask for Mike.
